Education and Training Model

The Electrical-Electronics Engineering Bachelor's program is Regular Education (first education) and the education plan consists of 240 ECTS. The language of instruction is Turkish. The program meets the First Cycle (Bachelor's Degree) qualifications defined in the Overarching Framework for Qualifications of the European Higher Education Area (QFEHEA), the Sixth Level (Bachelor's Education) qualifications defined in the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ), and also the Sixth Level qualifications defined in the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL). Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a Bachelor's Degree (Diploma) in Electrical-Electronics Engineering. Electrical-Electronics Engineers can work in the production, maintenance, and repair, research and development (R&D), and quality control departments of factories, as well as in the sales, marketing, and planning departments in an office environment, in the low-medium-high voltage project drawing sector, in the energy sector, in the electricity generation, transmission, and distribution sectors, in sectors where embedded system and electronic circuit and system design are carried out, in the electromechanical industry, in sectors where wired and wireless communication system design is carried out, in areas where signal and image processing systems are used, in the software sector, in the field of medical electronics, in public or private institutions and organizations, as well as in institutions such as the State Planning Organization, Turkish Standards Institute, Ministry of National Defense, and TÜBİTAK.

It is mandatory for our department students to complete a total of 30 working days of internship in the research and development, production, and quality control units of factories where Electrical-Electronics / Electronics-Communication / Electrical Engineers are present, starting from the end of the 6th semester. Through these internships, students are brought closer to the sectors and practitioners, gaining professional experience, thus making it easier for students to adapt to the work environment after graduation. The Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department has laboratories with the necessary and sufficient equipment for each practical course specified in the curriculum, as well as high-tech machinery and equipment. The student application laboratory is also utilized to conduct TÜBİTAK 2209 project studies and Graduation Thesis studies. In the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department, there are Electronics Laboratory, Circuit Theory Laboratory, Electrical Machines Laboratory, Logic Circuit Laboratory, and Microprocessor Laboratory.

The learning outcomes obtained at the end of the education and training process in our department are listed below:

1. To be able to use basic science (mathematics/science), technology, and engineering knowledge in the fields related to Electrical-Electronics, in the design, analysis, identification, and solution of problems of production systems and processes,

2. To identify, define, and solve complex engineering problems in the applications of electrical-electronics engineering and technology using scientific methods,

3. To gain the ability to design a system or process related to Electrical-Electronics under specific conditions using modern design methods,

4. To gain laboratory skills for the analysis and solution of problems encountered in the field of electrical-electronics engineering,

5. To develop and enhance the ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results,

6. To develop the ability to carry out individual or team work in engineering applications and multidisciplinary fields,

7. To gain knowledge and practice about standards used in engineering applications, work, and laboratory safety,

8. To exhibit behavior in accordance with professional responsibility and ethical principles, to have a sense of professional and ethical responsibility,

9. To raise awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation, to gain knowledge about sustainability, and to gain awareness about applications in business life such as project production and management,

10. To gain the consciousness and ability of lifelong learning, to access information, to follow developments in science and technology, and to continuously renew oneself.
