Civil Engineering

Construction engineering is the main branch of engineering that provides services in the stages of planning, designing, constructing, and supervising structures. Construction engineering is the type of Engineering that designs and implements the cornerstones of civilization. Its English term is "Civil Engineering," which is defined as "Civilization Engineering."

The Department of Construction Engineering trains engineers who will work in the planning, designing, construction, and supervision of all kinds of buildings, ports, coastal and marine structures, roads, railways, bridges, aqueducts, dams, water structures, sewer systems, water networks, tunnels, airports, etc., service and industrial structures.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Department of Construction Engineering was established within the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated July 4, 2011, and numbered 27984 (2nd Repeated). It started education in the 2013-2014 Academic Year by admitting 40 students.
