Technical Visit from Our Faculty's Department of Mechanical Engineering to Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) Facilities

With the participation of our Faculty's Mechanical Engineering Department students, under the guidance of department lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gültekin BASMACI and accompanied by Lect. Dr. Sertaç COŞMAN and Res. Asst. Mehmet Esad NACAR, a technical trip was organized on 08.12.2023 to Kalyon PV production facilities, which hold the title of the first and only integrated facility in the world under Kalyon Holding, and to the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) facilities, which lead the defense industry.

Within Kalyon PV, the integrated facility in the form of 4+1 was toured for the students, technical information about the field was shared with the students, and their questions were answered. On the same day in the afternoon, the students had the opportunity to closely observe the manufacturing, assembly, and improvement processes of helicopters such as Gökbey, Atak, Hürkuş, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) such as Anka and Aksungur, which are developed domestically and nationally within TUSAŞ.
