About the Department of Architecture

The Architecture undergraduate program was established on 19.09.2011 within the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The main goal of our department, which is located within the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, is to train professionals and researchers in design who can filter scientific facts about architecture through artistic sensitivity and social awareness. Our goal is to contribute to making design products of all scales original and of high quality, as well as to train dynamic and competent architects who can access information in any environment, think aesthetically, question, carry information forward, and transform information.
Our department has been in operation since the 2014-2015 academic year with 31 undergraduate students. There are four main science branches (Building Information ABD, Construction Information ABD, Restoration and History of Architecture ABD) in our department.
